New Hampshire in the News
(from VisitNH.gov)
Not only has the French President "discovered" New Hampshire, celebrities Ellen DeGeneres, Alicia Keys, Martin Scorsese, Andre Agassi, Sheryl Crow and Shawn White put the national spotlight on Lake Winnipesaukee in a recent American Express commercial. The Big Lake was also the site of a real life Hollywood love story in early August when former Saturday Night Live star Jimmy Fallon proposed to movie producer Nancy Juvonen in Wolfeboro.
Peterborough was named one of Budget Travel magazine's "10 Coolest Small Towns in the US," citing the MacDowell Colony for artists and Harlow's Pub, among other "don't miss" sites.
Portsmouth made The New York Times "Havens" column with advice on those considering relocation. And Hanover was Money Magazine's #2 pick for "Best Places to Live."
